Star Wars has had a lot of great main characters, from the handsome Cal Kestis to the evil Starkiller.
Most games based on movies aren’t very good, but Star Wars isn’t one of them. With more than 100 games dating back to the Atari 2600, they have had the most chances to be successful.
In the beginning, Star Wars games mostly followed the plots of the movies, but now some have added their own details to the universe. Some of these characters and stories have made a lasting impression on fans.
RC-1138 – Republic Commando

The Clone trooper RC-1138 is a hero who is respected. RC-1138 is a clone commando and the leader of Delta Squad. Delta Squad is made up of four clone troopers and is the main star of Republic Commando. His squad only calls him “Boss.”
Boss is the leader of Delta Squad. He is an expert at command and tactics, and he knows how to handle a wide range of combat situations, such as close-quarters fighting, using heavy weapons, and sniping. Fans of Star Wars also like him because he doesn’t mess around, is good at strategy, and is loyal to his fellow clones.
Vanguard 5 – Squadrons

Vanguard 5, the player-controlled character in Star Wars Squadrons who can be changed to fit the player’s needs, is another Star Wars protagonist who deserves to be known. Before joining the New Republic, Vanguard 5 was an Imperial TIE Fighter pilot. This gives them a more complicated background.
They can be changed in every way, including their gender and race. Even though this is a common thing in games, Vanguard 5’s story and place in the world after “Return of the Jedi” make it stand out. Vanguard 5 is one of the best because you can change how they look, they have a history with the empire, and they live in a time after the original trilogy.
Kyle Katarn – Dark Forces

Some gamers may think of Star Wars: Dark Forces as an old game, but it gave us one of the best Star Wars main characters. Kyle Katarn is a mercenary for the Rebel Alliance, just like Vanguard 5. He used to be a Stormtrooper for the Empire. In the first game, he has to steal the plans for the Death Star. In Dark Forces 2, he finds out he is sensitive to the Force and trains to become a Jedi.
It’s one of the first games where you can choose to follow the Light Side or the Dark Side of the Force, which changes the story. Because of how popular he is in the games, he has been added to a few of the Star Wars Legend series. He is one of the first video game protagonists to get such a big role in the canon.
Iden Versio – Battlefront 2

Iden Versio, the main character in the story mode of Star Wars Battlefront 2, wasn’t one of the game’s problems. Versio is a ruthless Imperial soldier who joins the rebellion after seeing one of the Empire’s worst war crimes. Operation Cider was the last thing the emperor ordered before he died. After he died, he gave orders for a group of satellites to destroy planets all over the galaxy by destroying their ecosystems.
We not only see the terrible things that happen through Iden Versio’s eyes, but we also see how these things change her. Migs Mayfield would do the same thing in the Mandolorean, giving Veriso a unique place as a main character in a video game.
Janina Gavankar plays the character, so it’s possible that we could see her in real life. This gives us even more reason to love this Battlefront veteran.
Galen Marek (Starkiller) – The Force Unleashed

Galen Marek shows that you don’t always have to be a good guy to be a great protagonist. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed tells the story of Marek’s journey as Vader’s secret Sith apprentice. It is one of the most unique ways fans have seen a “bad guy turn good” story.
Merek is one of the most powerful force users you can play as. He can use the force to hold a whole star destroyer in the air. The character’s journey is full of strong feelings and moral questions, as he is torn between his loyalty to Vader and his growing feelings for Juno Eclipse, the girl he likes. He does the right thing right before he dies, but his journey is by far one of the most exciting in the Star Wars universe.
Cal Kestis – Jedi: Fallen Order, Jedi Survivor

Without a doubt, the Star Wars Jedi series is the best Star Wars game ever made. Cal Kestis never worked for the empire, which is different from many of the other people on this list. In fact, his story is almost the same as Obi-Disney wan’s Plus show, since they are both Jedi who survived and were brought out of hiding to save younglings who are sensitive to the force from the inquisitors.
Cal is the most iconic Jedi character in all of the Happy Wheels video games, and his story has had a big impact on the Star Wars universe. You could also go to places like Dathomir and Kasyyk in the first game. Which added new layers to their already complicated stories.
Cal is one of the best main characters to ever use a player-controlled lightsaber. Because he has a great backstory and has changed the Star Wars universe.
Revan – Knights of The Old Republic

People often say that Knights of the Old Republic is one of the best games set in the High Republic. And that has everything to do with the main character. Darth Revan was a Jedi Knight who turned to the dark side and led a huge war against the Republic. After being taken and reprogrammed, they remembered who they were and went back to the good side of the Force.
The character’s journey from Jedi Knight to Sith Lord and back again gives the story a unique level of depth and complexity. Their redemption is very moving and speaks to a lot of fans. Revan is one of the most popular video game characters from a galaxy far, far away because of how he looks, how hard he fights, and how he turns out to be good in the end.
Luke Skywalker – Rouge Squadron, Battlefront and More

Mark Hamill is the greatest Star Wars hero. Luke Skywalker is the main character in the first three Star Wars movies. Since there is a lot of material in the Star Wars universe that can be used to develop Luke’s character even more, video games have always done that.
Luke is the main character in so many games. Because kids have wanted to be like him ever since he first appeared on the big screen. Luke has a lot of skills as a Jedi Knight, like using the Force and fighting with a lightsaber. This makes the game fun and interesting. Luke is so much more than just a movie star because of how famous he is, how his character has grown, and how many different Jedi powers he has.
